After gaining a Bachelor of Design (4 year degree) from the University of NSW College of Fine Arts, I worked for several years at a commercial printing company in Sydney. A move to Darwin saw me take up the role of Head Designer of Publications North, a subsidiary of News Ltd; responsible for 2 monthly newspapers and an annual lifestyle magazine among other smaller publications. A family relocation to the Gold Coast allowed me to work as Head Designer at a digital printing company in Southport. Starting a family nudged me towards becoming a freelance designer and this move has enabled me to continue doing what I love while working around the demands of a growing family.
Working freelance for 20+ years now, I have found it allows me to work very flexible hours which is good for my clients' tight deadlines. I have built a small group of clients mostly via word of mouth. Some clients include QUT Art Museum, Third Drawer Down, EarlyEd (an NDIS provider in Nth Sydney), Gallant Visual Management, PHEMC.org, Baby Give Back as well as many small businesses and individuals.
As a designer I work with my clients to create personalised, professional and beautiful artwork, ranging from business stationery, web banners, EDM's, socials, annual reports, books, large scale murals, signage to products and packaging.
I am highly proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator as well as PowerPoint. I am comfortable creating artwork to any output requirements. My experience makes me a fast and meticulous designer who provides a quality, reliable service from concept to production.
I love what I do and love helping my clients make their vision become a reality.
